Participation as a foundation for human-centred spatial design
Spaces develop through dialogue with the people who use and experience them.
A key part of my work has been the development and facilitation of participatory processes. I have worked with children, young people, families and different local stakeholders, exploring how people perceive spaces and what significance these environments have in everyday life.
This experience ranges from research and urban development projects in Weimar to international projects addressing sustainability, housing and community-oriented spatial design.

Child-Friendly Cities for Germany – Weimar Case Study

Participatory research project focusing on child- and youth-friendly urban design.
Urban design, planning and facilitation of participatory processes with children and young people, in cooperation with the Weimar Children's Office and the City of Weimar's Children's Commissioner.
Study Project “Atrium und Zentrum” Weimar Experience Festival – The Senses

Children and young people experience the city through their senses.
Awarded 4th prize in the student ideas competition held as part of “Entente Florale 2008” at Bauhaus-Universität Weimar.

Participatory project addressing sustainability and renewable energy.
In cooperation with Takoradi Technical University and GREEN Solar Academy Johannesburg.
UTU – Sustainable Micro House
2024 | Cuyo, Andes, Argentina
Development of sustainable micro-houses for indigenous communities.
The project combines local building traditions with innovative technologies, addressing earthquake safety, thermal performance and affordable construction. In cooperation with IRPHa, CONICET and Universidad Nacional de San Juan.
